The International Exhibition for Young Inventors dates back to 1904. It was first held by the Japan Institute of Invention and Innovation (JIII) in Tokyo. As was the case many years ago, the aim of the exhibition today is to encourage creativity and ingenuity in teenagers from all over the world. It gives participants a unique opportunity to present their inventions and exchange experiences with other participants from different countries. The exhibition is designed to ensure a decent level of competition between young talents, help them pass on their knowledge to their peers, and develop cooperation in the field of innovation between countries.

Since 2017, children from Russia have been taking part in the International Exhibition of Young Inventors.
