About

The IInternational Young Inventors Award (IYIA) is one of the annual events held since 2014 by the Indonesian Invention and Innovation Promotion Association (INNOPA) in either Jakarta or Denpasar, Indonesia. The event takes place on the base platform of Indonesia Inventors Day (IID) which was established in 2019 to feature IYIA and World Invention and Technology Exhibition (WINTEX) for both young and adult inventors from all over the world.

IID is an international platform for local and international inventors, researchers and scientists to present their inventions and innovations, exchange experience and find sponsors for their research or investors for the commercialization of their projects.

The invention contest at IID is split into 3 age categories:

• STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics): 14 y.o. and younger;
•  IYIA (15 to 18 y.o.)
•  WINTEX for adult inventors (older than 18 y.o.)

For the purposes of international jury evaluation, the exhibited innovations fall within one the categories of invention:

10. Energy and Electricity
11. Environmental protection
12. Green technologies, biofuels, textile and chemical industries
13. Industrial design (devices, mechanisms, equipment, production process)
14. Internet of things, applications and information and communication technologies
15. Educational and training materials
