Russia at International Young Inventors Award 2023

In 2023, to take part in the invention contest, authors of over 350 projects from 33 countries came to Denpasar (Indonesia) to present their projects in front of the international jury of the International Young Inventors Award.

The participation of the Russian team was made possible thanks to the support of the Gorodissky & Partners law firm. Young inventors from Russia managed to win 2 gold, 8 silver and 4 bronze medals, as well as some special prizes and nominations:

IYIA gold medalist Veronika Alekseenko-Nedyshilova (Yekaterinburg) won Best Impact Award for her real-time automated system for detecting objects on railway tracks.

Special prize for excellent and creative work was awarded to the gold medalists Alexander Sukhotsky & Nikita Shilkov (Moscow) for their interface for controlling robotic systems using hand movements.

National Research Council of Thailand Award for the best international invention and innovation was awarded to the authors of silver medal winning universal biodegradable fallen leaves material for disposable packaging production by Daria Sheinina, Victoria Pozverg, Sergey Mazunin (Perm).

Special Prize of the Korean Association for the Promotion of Inventions was awarded to the silver medalist Ernest Kashapov (Norilsk) for his scarf with a draining condensate valve.

Special Prize for creativity and significant invention was awarded to the silver medalists Alexey Lashchikov, Dmitry Nabiulin & Dmitry Toropov (Novocherkassk) for their universal reconnaissance robot.

Special Prize of the Eurasian Patent Office was awarded to the authors of bronze medal winning multifunctional backpack by Daria Sheinina, Victoria Pozverg, Maria Pozverg (Perm).

Silver medals:

  • “Car metro project” by Arseny Elistratov, Artur Fedorov (Zelenodolsk);
  • “Unmanned vehicle control complex optimization system” by Nikita Kumin (Sarov);
  • “Hammock 3.0” by Vadim Miroshnichenko (Svobodny);
  • “ECO Bear – mobile waste collection and sorting system” by Dinara Faradzheva, Victoria Ilchenko (Chita/Norilsk);
  • “Energy-generating sound pickup” by Artem Ivlev (Monchegorsk);

Bronze medals:

  • “Rescuer – unmanned module” by Nikolay Khitrov (Nizhny Novgorod);
  • “KPR-21 loading and unloading complex” by Ruslan Vasilenko (Svobodny);
  • “In Water – rainwater filtration system” by Veronika Morozova (Norilsk);
  • “Thanatus – filling machine” by Yaroslav Kolpakov (Monchegorsk).
