Russian inventors shine at International Young Inventors Award 2023

The 10th International Young Inventors Award 2023 has just ended in Denpasar, Indonesia. The inventors from 33 countries sent more than 350 projects to be presented before the international jury, with 15 of such inventions being from Russia.

The international jury evaluated projects based on the criteria of creativity, quality of presentation and the possibility of further development of the project. The results of IYIA-2023 are as follows:

Gold medals:
1) “HandyBot – interface for controlling robotic systems using hand movements” by Alexander Sukhotsky, Nikita Shilkov (Moscow);
2) “DIOPTR – Automated system for detecting objects on railway tracks in real time” by Veronika Alekseenko-Nedyshilova (Yekaterinburg).

Silver medals:
1) “Mecanum link snake – universal reconnaissance robot” by Alexey Lashchikov, Dmitry Nabiulin, Dmitry Toropov (Novocherkassk);
2) “Car metro project” by Arseny Elistratov, Artur Fedorov (Zelenodolsk);
3) “Unmanned vehicle control complex optimization system” by Nikita Kumin (Sarov);
4) “Hammock 3.0” by Vadim Miroshnichenko (Svobodny);
5) “ECO Bear – mobile waste collection and sorting system” by Dinara Faradzheva, Victoria Ilchenko (Chita/Norilsk);
6) “Scarf with a draining condensate valve” by Ernest Kashapov (Norilsk);
7) “Energy-generating sound pickup” by Artem Ivlev (Monchegorsk);
8) “ListoPAK – universal biodegradable fallen leaves material for disposable packaging production” by Daria Sheinina, Victoria Pozverg, Sergey Mazunin (Perm).

Bronze medals:
1) “Rescuer – unmanned module” by Nikolay Khitrov (Nizhny Novgorod);
2) “Relax – multifunctional backpack” by Daria Sheinina, Victoria Pozverg, Maria Pozverg (Perm);
3) “KPR-21 loading and unloading complex” by Ruslan Vasilenko (Svobodny);
4) “In Water – rainwater filtration system” by Veronika Morozova (Norilsk);
5) “Thanatus – filling machine” by Yaroslav Kolpakov (Monchegorsk).

Special prize for the best project: “DIOPTR – Automated system for detecting objects on railway tracks in real time” by Veronika Alekseenko-Nedyshilova (Yekaterinburg).
Special prize for excellent and creative work: “HandyBot – interface for controlling robotic systems using hand movements” by Alexander Sukhotsky, Nikita Shilkov (Moscow).
National Research Council of Thailand Award for the best international invention and innovation: “ListoPAK – universal biodegradable fallen leaves material for disposable packaging production” by Daria Sheinina, Victoria Pozverg, Sergey Mazunin (Perm).
Special Prize of the Korean Association for the Promotion of Inventions: “Scarf with a draining condensate valve” by Ernest Kashapov (Norilsk).
Special Prize of the Eurasian Patent Office: “Relax – multifunctional backpack” by Daria Sheinina, Victoria Pozverg, Maria Pozverg (Perm).
Special Prize for creativity and significant invention: “Mecanum link snake – universal reconnaissance robot” by Alexey Lashchikov, Dmitry Nabiulin, Dmitry Toropov (Novocherkassk).

At IYIA-2022, our young inventors won 3 gold and 4 silver medals for Russia.
