Young inventors from Russia won numerous medals at IEYI-2024

The International Exhibition for Young Inventors (IEYI-2024) has ended in Taipei (Taiwan), in which the Russian team took part for the fourth time. In total, more than 200 projects from 11 countries were presented at the competition, 14 of which were created by the Russian inventors.

The international jury evaluated the projects according to more than 12 criteria, the main ones being: creativity, efficiency, application of the laws of physics, marketability, patentability, and environmental friendliness. Here are the results:

Gold medals:
1) Setryak – bladeless wind generator by Mikhail Masnyuk (14 y.o.), Maxim Arkhipov (13 y.o.), Novocherkassk;
2) Binocular vision training device by Gleb Smorodinov (16 y.o.), Kazan;
3) Multi-color 3D printing automatically coloring filament by Ernest Kashapov (17 y.o.), Norilsk;
4) GlassGuard by Yaroslav Kolpakov (12 y.o.), Monchegorsk.

Silver medals:
1) Strut platform container by Maria Sirgienko (17 y.o.), Vyacheslav Karpov (18 y.o.), Svobodny;
2) Eco-friendly wallpaper made from recycled materials and plant fibers with a noise-absorbing effect by Alena Varlashova (16 y.o.), Denis Varlashov (10 y.o.), Perm;
3) A guide robot for the blind and visually impaired with an object recognition system by Ekaterina Krysantieva (16 y.o.), Matvey Prusakov (15 y.o.), Yekaterinburg;
4) "Midas" universal arm fixating device for the rehabilitation by Dolgopolov Aleksey (17 y.o.), Chita

Bronze medals:
1) "Glam-sport" capsule wardrobe by Violetta Belevaka (17 y.o.), Froly village;
2) Automatic geological exploration by Morozov Ivan (17 y.o.), Krasnoyarsk;
3) Bench-train by Zavodchikov Arseny (13 y.o.), Svobodny;
4) Miccellar jelly by Anastasia Bessonova (13 y.o.), Chita;
5) EasyProb by Ekaterina Limarova (17 y.o.), Nikel settlement.

Special Grand Prix awards:

South Korean delegation Special Prize: Multi-color 3D printing automatically coloring filament by Ernest Kashapov (17 y.o.), Norilsk.

The Russian team preparation for IEYI-2024 was made possible thanks to the support of the Gorodissky & Partners law firm, which specializes in the protection of intellectual property, and Norilsk Nickel MMC.

As per tradition, DanCo Russian dance group performed at the closing awards ceremony.

At IEYI-2023, young inventors from Russia won 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals.
