Russia at International Exhibition for Young Inventors 2019

The 15th International Exhibition for Young Inventors was held on October 23-26, 2019 for students and schoolchildren aged from 6 to 19. Authors of 120 projects from 11 countries flocked to Jakarta (Indonesia) to take part in the event.

This was the third time Russian young inventors took part in IEYI which resulted in winning 2 gold and 4 bronze medals, as well as several special prizes:

Gold medals:
1) Lev Lavrov & Oleg Nevolin (Perm) for their vandal-proof wi-fi door handle;
2) Maksim Dvornikov (Monchegorsk) for his interactive toy for pets.

Bronze medals:
1) Elvira Malanyeva (Zelenodolsk) for her car batteries express replacement device;
2) Matvey Maksimov (Norilsk) for his plastic garbage shredder;
3) Andrey Andreychuk & Alexander Permyakov (Chita) for their smart belt for helping the visually impaired;
4) Rodion Stramous, Leonid Abramson & Georgy Skorohod (Moscow) for their automatic plant growing system.

Special prizes: 

Dmitry Kostarev (Perm) was awarded the Special prize from the Indonesian delegation for his solar-powered survival jacket.

 Daria Sheinina (Perm) was awarded the Special prizes from the delegations of Malaysia, China and the Philippines for her invention of a catheter wire adapter for the insulin pump infusion set. 

2 Special prizes from the Taiwan delegation were awarded to Artem Kurlovich (Norilsk) for his smart toothbrush, as well as to Elizaveta Novik (Yekaterinburg) for her fine motor impairments rehabilitation complex. 

Gleb Gorkaev & Grigory Guryev (Sarov) was awarded the Special prize from the Japanese delegation for their smart city traffic management system.

 Egor Zharsky (Nizhny Novgorod) was awarded the Special prize from the Malaysian delegation for his amphibious unmanned cargo platform for shelf development. 

In 2018, the Russian team won 2 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze medals.
