Russia at International Exhibition for Young Inventors 2021
In 2021, due to the international COVID-19 flight restrictions the annual International Exhibition for Young Inventors was held online for the second time. 152 inventions were submitted by students and schoolchildren from Japan, Indonesia, Italy, Russia, India, Singapore, Taiwan, Belarus, Ukraine, China and Macao.
9 members of international jury, including Yuri Kuznetsov, partner and head of patent practice of the Gorodissky and Partners law firm, evaluated the submitted projects based on the following criteria: creativity, marketability, efficiency, novelty, quality of execution, and patentability. After thorough examination and evaluation, the Russian team won 2 gold, 2 silver, and 5 bronze medals, as well as a number of special prizes:
Gold medals:
1) Daniil Bogdanov, Danil Mikheev & Ivan Naumov (Perm) for their PET plastic recycling device;
2) Mikhail Solovyov (Moscow) for his mobile autonomous vehicle interior disinfection device.
Silver medals:
1) Ksenia Rezvova & Ivan Budakov (Sarov) for their robotized platform for programming learning promotion;
2) Daria Sheynina, Victoria Pozverg & Maria Pozverg (Perm) for their smart air filtration system.
Bronze medals:
1) Ruslan Romanov, Denis Malinovtsev & Evelina Filippova (Vyborg) for their Saint Petersburg fortifications architectural layout model;
2) Daniel Boliev (Nalchik) for his space crystalline ice searching method;
3) Dmitry Brutsky (Moscow) for his paramedic robot;
4) Alena Varlashova & Andrey Kuzyakin (Perm) for their smart hothouse module;
5) Svetlana Petruk (Vladivostok) & Daria Tkacheva (Beloyarovo village) for their antiviral fabric material.
Special prizes from the Japan Institute of Invention and Innovation:
1) Nikolay Sunchugashev & Dmitry Kameev (Dudinka) for their magnetic connection safe socket;
2) Darya Zadorozhina (Gazimursky Zavod village) for her child location scanner safety system;
3) Nikita Melnikov & Alexander Zorkin (Moscow) for their longevity application;
4) Ivan Budakov (Sarov) for his autonomous voice assistant;
5) Pavel Pashedko (Monchegorsk) for his autism panic attacks prevention system.
Special prizes from People's Republic of China:
1) Daria Mokhova (Perm) for her shoe covering device;
2) German Yangalin & Lenar Rashitov (Ufa) for their invention of carbotechnological neutral fuel cycle;
3) Egor Yakushev & Alexander Aristov (Perm) for their solar powered hydrogen power grid;
4) Nikita Borodavko & Alexey Serzhanov (Moscow) for their Earth and Moon movement mockup model;
5) Andrey Sharaev, Svyatoslav Fedoseyev & Lev Mokhirev (Yekaterinburg) for their interactive children playground model.
In 2020, the Russian team won 3 gold, 3 silver, and 7 bronze medals, as well as a number of special prizes.
