Russia at International Exhibition for Young Inventors 2024

The 20th International Exhibition for Young Inventors was held on August 2-5, 2014 for students and schoolchildren aged from 6 to 19. Authors of more than 200 projects from 11 countries flocked to Taipei (Taiwan) to take part in the event.

After the COVID-19 flight restrictions were lifted, the Exhibition was finally held online.

For young inventors from Russia, it was the eighth time they participated in IEYI which resulted in the following 4 gold, 4 silver, and 5 bronze medals, as well as 2 GRAND PRIX awards and 2 Special Prizes:

The gold medalists Mikhail Masnyuk & Maxim Arkhipov (Novocherkassk) were awarded the IEYI GRAND PRIX for their bladeless wind generator.

The IEYI GRAND PRIX was also awarded to another Gold medalist – Yaroslav Kolpakov (Monchegorsk) for his universal smartphone screen protection coating device.

South Korean delegation Special Prize was awarded to Ernest Kashapov (Norilsk), who also won a gold medal, for his automatically coloring filament for multi-color 3D printers.

Gleb Smorodinov (Kazan) was awarded a Gold medal for his binocular vision training device.

Silver medals:
1) Noise-absorbing eco-friendly wallpaper by Alena Varlashova & Denis Varlashov (Perm), who were also awarded the Japan delegation Special Prize for this invention;
2) Strut railway platform container by Maria Sirgienko & Vyacheslav Karpov (Svobodny);
3) Object recognition robotic guide for the visually impaired by Ekaterina Krysantieva & Matvey Prusakov (Yekaterinburg);
4) Universal arm fixating device for the rehabilitation by Dolgopolov Aleksey (Chita).

Bronze medals:
1) Convertible capsule wardrobe by Violetta Belevaka (Froly village);
2) Automatic geological exploration robot by Morozov Ivan (Krasnoyarsk);
3) Mobile rail bench by Zavodchikov Arseny (Svobodny);
4) Miccellar jelly alternative to micellar water by Anastasia Bessonova (Chita);
5) Helicobacter pylori breath test by Ekaterina Limarova (Nikel settlement).

In 2023, the Russian team won 1 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze medals, as well as a number of special prizes
